Nolan Associates were responsible for the structural and civil engineering design at the BishopGate Student Accommodation Scheme, comprising of 3 reinforced concrete blocks with a plinth area between each of the blocks. The project is built for Coventry University in conjunction with Barberry Developments.
The structures are founded on piles bored into the sandstone strata. Each block is analysed and designed independently. Reinforced concrete slabs are will be used to support all upper floors. A suspended ground floor slab is also used.
