Wrekin College has opened its brand new Music School on Friday 10th January 2020 at their site in Telford. The new School provides modern and well-equipped home for their orchestra and musicians and will provide a facility to match the talents of their pupils and staff.

An investment of £2.5m, the Music School will features a double height rehearsal space, specifically designed for ensembles. The state-of-the-art facility will also includes individual teaching and practice suites.

The building design by Stuart Taylor of Lichfield Architects Brownhill Hayward Brown, and Birmingham Consulting Engineers Nolan Associates was constructed by Midlands builders AM Griffiths.

Music runs through the very heart of Wrekin from the rousing singing in Chapel every morning (you would be surprised to hear the volume) to the regular programme of intimate soirée and recitals, from our choirs, orchestras and bands to our grand and regular musical productions.

Headmaster Tim Firth recently appeared on Radio Shropshire to discuss the new building.
