Prof. John Nolan
John has over 45 years’ experience in the construction industry initially working as a contractors’ engineer and then as a consulting engineer. He is one of the founders and chairman of a property development company. He is also a non– executive director of a power company.
He has built up Nolan Associates from scratch to become one of the largest and most respected consultancies in the Midlands, responsible for projects up to the value of £280million, including almost all elements of the built environment from project conception to handover.
John’s particular interests are innovation, prefabrication and value engineering.
He is past chairman of the Institution of Structural Engineers 2012, Royal Academy of Engineering visiting Professor of Innovation, Birmingham University and current Chairman of the Construction Industry Council.
John is a keen rugby supporter and follows Moseley Rugby Club.
