Cormac Kennedy

BE (Civils)(Hons) CEng MIStructE Civil and Structural Engineering
Director

Cormac joined Nolan Associates as a Senior Engineer in 1994, having worked at Cameron Taylor Partners and Cameron Taylor Bedford since graduation in 1983. In August 1998, he bcame a Director in 2008.

Cormac has been responsible for projects up to £100m, across a broad spectrum of building and construction types. Many of these projects have been ‘design and build’ where his drive towards cost effective design has been significant to the success of the project.

Cormac has extensive experience in the alteration/conversion of existing structures for a change of use. On projects of this type, there is generally little or no record information available in the existing structure and it is often then necessary to make assessments of the existing structural arrangement and capacity, based on limited inspection and opening up works. This experience is essential to allow safe but pragmatic judgements to be made.

Cormac is also extremely experienced in precast construction especially in multi-storey frames and cross wall structures.

Cormac enjoys following Ireland’s football team.
